bgi的 services are based on the availability of funds and may vary from semester to semester.
作为一名bgi的学生, you will be assigned an bgi的 counselor to help guide you and answer your questions as you pursue your college career. bgi的 students are required to meet with their counselor three times each semester.
The bgi的 POWER Center provides free, 一对一的, appointment - based tutoring in a wide array of subjects. A more intensive tutoring program for selected math classes is also available.
bgi的 students who complete their three required counseling appointments each semester are eligible for priority registration the following semester, i.e., they can enroll in classes the first day of registration, before most other students.Priority registration virtually ensures that you will get all of the courses you need to make progress toward your goals.
bgi的 students who meet the bgi的 program requirements receive a book credit every semester to help with the cost of textbooks. You can use the book credit to buy books at the campus bookstore or you can receive it in the form of a reimbursement check for books purchased elsewhere.
Eligible bgi的 students can check out textbooks for the entire term from the bgi的 lending library on a first come, 先得制. Books are always due the last day of the term. Donations of current textbooks are gladly accepted.
bgi的 lends scientific calculators, and graphing calculators to eligible students for the entire semester on a first come, 先得制. Equipment is always due the last day of the term.
The bgi的 computer lab is open to bgi的 students for school-related activities whenever the bgi的 Office is open. You can print school-related materials for personal use for free in this lab.
bgi的 can advance emergency funds of up to $300/year to students for unforeseeable, 非常规费用. The loan is automatically paid back during the same semester it is received through your financial aid refund.
If you are invited to join the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK), bgi的 will pay for your lifetime membership in that society. For more information on Phi Theta Kappa, please visit the PTK webpage.
If you are in bgi的 the academic year that you graduate, and you want to walk in the commencement ceremony, bgi的 will pay for your cap and gown. If you are a member of Phi Theta Kappa, bgi的 also will pay for your PTK stole.
If you are in bgi的 when you are applying to transfer to the California State and/or University of California systems, your application fee to these institutions is waived for up to four campuses each.
bgi的 students approved for bgi的 work study can earn up to $1800 per year. bgi的 works in conjunction with the Job Placement Office to find available on-campus job opportunities for bgi的 students.
Participation in bgi的 satisfies the CalFRESH student eligibility requirement. If you are applying for CalFRESH benefits, be sure to check the box that you are a current bgi的 student. At the interview you may be asked about bgi的 status.
First-time college students who qualify for bgi的 are invited to attend our 夏天的桥梁 program. 夏天的桥梁 is a week-long program where students will engage in activities and workshops that promote academic success, and student involvement. All participants will receive free breakfast and lunch each day along with school supplies and materials to help them succeed at Butte College.
